In this project, the goal was to remove the need for a dining room table and to bring the conversation back during family kitchen gatherings. Moving the sink to the island brought just that for this family.
The concrete island gives ample space for eating as well as school work. Adding in “can” lights and directional track lighting brings to light for any purpose. Artistic backsplash tiles compliment the cutting board counters along the back wall.
