Battery Park condos suffered from a workmanship failure during some painting that led to water damage throughout quite a few condos. Our clients took the opportunity that while the floors were being replaced that they could upgrade their kitchen at the same time. Their existing kitchen had an odd layout that did not yield well to storage or function in the kitchen. We gutted the kitchen and started over by bringing the microwave to a drawer style, extending the island, and widening it. Cabinetry on both sides provides storage that was never there. The wider more useful island was the highlight of the project for our clients. Having family and friends over for dinner is no longer something that is hard to do.
We were able to get rid of the angled area and install a long wide kitchen bar countertop as well as upgrade the finishes before finishing it off with Quartz countertops.
